The account of Benjamin Jameson and William Queen, Administrators de bonis non of Joseph Edelin, late of Charles County, deceased.

Debts include: the inventory of sd. Deceased's estate exhibited into Prerogative office on Jun 3, 1777, amounting to £1580 1 shilling 6 pence; money received of Hezekiah Claget, Ekias Chapelare, Thomas Rigg, George Steel, Jesreal Pen, Joseph Simms, Roger Brook, George Maddox, Stephen Compton; money in the hands of Walter Pye on bond with interest to this time; a crop of tobacco; received of Stephen Compton, Richard Wise, Susanah Donly, George Steel, Jno Wilder, Jno Brooke, Thomas Ching, Jno Spanlin, Jno Diggs, Thomas Grigg, Jno Franlin. The whole amount: £2636, 0 shillings, 9 pence.

Disbursements went to: Cunninghame Findlay and Company: Thomas Smoot per bond dated Mar 26, 1773 for 247.10.0 as per probate paid and 37.2.6 paid to sd Smoot as per the bond arbitrated by Walter Hanson & Thomas McPherson; Christie Stone & Co; Jno Glasford and Co Store at Wicocomoco; Benjamin Lewis; Thomas McPherson; Doctor James Roach; Jno Glasford and Co store at Portobacco; Briscoe Edelin and Co; Samuel Jones; Mary Evans; Doctor Thomas James; Jno Smoot; Thos Harris; Jno Lancaster; Benjamin Philpot; Doctor Joseph Adderton; William Williams; Gerrard Dutton; Robert King; Jno Swan; Thomas Evans; Edward Edlin Jr; Ign Jenkins; William Hanson, Sheriff, for levies for 1775 and 1776; Commissary General for transmitting balance of Sarah Pye's estate, to whom the deceased was executor; Clerk's fees due from the deceased to Philip Fendall; money due from Katherine Edlin the deceased's widow, to James Philips, for looking over the hands concerned with the crop made in 1775; com. Generals fees paid William Fitzhugh, Esq; George Steel; money due from afd Katherine Edlin to Geo Lovelace and to Thos Evans; Dupty Com's fees for letters to Katherine Edelin on this estate; Jno Wilder for 4 coffins, to wit, for this deceased & 2 of his daughters and for Katherine Edelin: Samuel Collins; James Smith; to the accountant, Benjamin Jameson for boarding and schooling 4 of the deceaseds children before administration granted and making clothes for the Negroes, and for taking care of the deceased's estate 9 months & some days before administration granted. Balance: £2094. 0 shillings .10 pence. A further time prayed to pass additional account.
