John Vaudry acknowledges this tract of land unto Jobe Corner This Indenture made
the eight day of August one thousand Six hundred Seventy and one Betweene Jno
Vaudry of the Province of Maryland Planter of the one part and Jobe Corner of
Charles County of the other part Witnesseth tht the said John Vaudry as well for
and consideracon of a certaine Sume of tobacco and caske in hand pd before the
sealeing and delivery hereof by the said Jobe Corner whereof and wherewth the
said Vaudry doth acknowledge himseife Satisfyed contented and payd and thereof
and every part and parcell thereof doth accquit and discharge the said Jobe
Corner his heyres Executors and Administrators and every of them by these
prsents and aliso for divers other good causes and consideracons thereunto
moveing Hath granted bargained Sold assigned Set over and confirmed unto the
Said Jobe Corner his heyres Executrs Administrators & Assignes all that
parcell of land caled St Nicholas Scituate lyeing and being in Charles
County lyeing in the woods on the west side of a fresh runn of Portobacco
begining at a bounded oake and runing west for breadth the lenght of one hundred
and fifety pches to a bounded oake begining at a bounded oake and runing west
wth a lyne drawne North from the said oake for the lenght of three hundred and
twenty pches to a bounded oake by the North wth a lyne drawne east from the end
of the former lyne to a bounded Poplar Standing by a fresh runn called St
Nicholas Fresh on the east wth a lyne drawne South from the said Poplar for the
lenght of three hundred and twenty pches to a bounded oake tht intersects a
paralell lyne drawne from the first bounded oake on the South wth the Said
paralell lyne lyeing on the back side of the land formerly laid out for Jobe
Chandler Esq containeing by estemacon three hundred acres be the same more or
less now in the Tenure and occupacon of him the Said Jno Vaudry or his assines
as by Patent formerly granted unto Ignatius Causine for the same and assigned
over from him to the above said Vaudry beareing date the twentyeth day of July
1664 will appeare all and Singular wch Said parcell of land, together wth all
and Singulr the houses buildings Structoryes or Edifices wtsoever thereunto
belonging or in any manner of way apptaineing To have and to hold the said
parcell and all and Singular the prnalmisses afore menconed to be hereby
bargained and Souid wht the appurtenances and every part and parcell thereof
wtsoever before named or recited unto the said Jobe Corner his heyres Executors
Administrators and Assignes for ever yeildeing and payeing yearely the Lord
Propryetaryes rent for the said land in manner as is in the Pattent aforesd
express't and the said Jno Vaudry for him Selfe his heyres Executors and
Administrators doth covenant grant and agree to and wth the said Jobe Corner his
heyres Executrs administrators and Assignes and every of them by these prsents
That he the said Jobe Corner his heyres Executors Administrators and Assignes
Shall and may lawfully peaceably and quietly have hould occupie possess and
enjoy all and Singular the aforesaid prmisses by these prsents bargained and

part and parcell thereof wth every the Rights members and appurtenances wthout
the law full let Suite eviccon expullcon interrumcon or demand of or by the Said
Jno Vaudry or of or by his heyres Executrs or Administrators or any of them or
by from or under any of theyre Titles Estates meanes or procuremts as ailso
acquitted and discharged or within convenient tyme after reasonable request made
well and Sufficiently made and kept harmless of and from all manner of former
and other bargaines Sales Estates former leases Titles Dowers Rightes or Titles
of Dowers Joyntures uses Intayles Wills Rent charges Rent Services Recognizances
Judgmth Execucons Titles troubles charges and demandes wtsoever, Had made done
comitted or wittingly or willingly Suifred by the Said John Vaudry his heyres or
Assignes or any of them, or to theyre or any of theyre uses or by theyre or any
of theyre Titles Estates meanes or procurements and the said John Vaudry for him
Selfe his heyres Executors and Administrators all and Singular the before
bargained prmisses wth the appurtenances, And every part and parcell thereof
unto the said Jobe Corner his heyres Executors and Administrs all and Singular
the before bargained prmisses wth theyre appurtenances, and every part and
parcell thereof unto the Said Jobe Corner his heyres Executors Administrators
and Assignes to the intent and meaneing aforesaid Shall and will warrant and
forever defend by these prsents, In Witness whereof I've hereunto Set my hand
and Seale the day and yeare first above written
