On 19 Apr 1813, Charles Rigg of Greenup Co., KY purchased a house and lot, a
6 acre lot and a 3 acre lot from Horatio Catlett. There was apparently some
concern over other claims to the 200 acres purchased the year before and Catlett
offered to let Rigg choose 200 acres elsewhere should there be a prior or better
claim to Rigg's land.
